It is very true that many people looked at the face of God. As Jesus was born, His mother looked into the face of God. As the disciples listened to the teachings of Jesus, they looked into the face og God. As the large groups of people gathered to see this miracle worker, they looked into the face of God. As the Roman soldiers drove stakes into the hands and feet of Jesus, they looked into the face of God. As the followers of Jesus met with the resurrected Christ, they looked into the face of God.
Really enjoyed this message when I heard it at church and even more when I prepared it for this website.
Something came to me while I was listening to your words and was looking for your thoughts on it. Your message only included Old Testament. What about New Testament? When God was made flesh through Jesus, weren’t we given the opportunity to actually look at him “face to face”literally, and even see the size of his nose? (something from the sermon for those who haven’t listened to it yet.)
