This summer’s Vacation Bible School was indeed a thrilling event for our church! The Game Show began on Saturday, July 31, 2010 with  our pre-registration event. We had great help and a promising turnout of 10 children. May seem a small number to some, but the Lord was just getting started… All told, when the Game Show came to a close, 60 children came through our doors and heard the Word of God and the Good News of salvation! August 2nd- 6th was an exciting adventure with the kids enjoying music, sound teaching, crafts, snacks, and great games all teaching about the wonderful love of Jesus Christ and His saving power. As the week drew to a close, several of the children shared their disappointment of ending the time they were enjoying with us.  This sharing has led to a weekly youth meeting for which we praise Our Lord. Our appreciation goes to the One who drew them, taught them, and now holds them in His hands. We want to thank also, the many workers who poured their time and energy into the service of the Lord and to Pastor Dave from Monroeville Assembly who shared their VBS decorations and materials.  His generosity made it possible to inspire and motivate a great team of people to stretch beyond their belief to put the ball in God’s court – and as always, God was faithful!
